A landmark project to develop Ghana's geological, natural, and cultural heritage into a UNESCO Global Geopark, turning the Volta Region's wonders into a global destination while empowering local communities.

Ghana Geopark Experience seek to explore the beautiful landscapes of Ghana and partner with the local, government and scientific community and other stakeholders to develop, sustain and protect the geological heritage for the benefit of the local community in areas of geo-tourism, development, scientific research, education and tourism.

Geopark is a place where landscapes with outstanding geological heritage are used to support sustainable development; this is achieved through conservation, education, interpretation, and nature-based tourism. UNESCO Global Geopark designation is the international standard recognizing outstanding geology and landscapes. UNESCO Global Geopark enjoy the same level of recognition as UNESCO World Heritage Site
